The Varsity Outdoor Club or VOC is run by University of British Columbia student union members and is open to all students and alumni. They organise a variety of trips in a variety of activities (hiking, climbing, skiing ... and pretty much anything else outdoors) at a variety of skill levels throughout the year (mainly run on weekends). The club also has a lot of equipment for different disciplines ranging from climbing harnesses to avalanche beacons available for members to borrow for free!
