Hi, I am coming to Vancouver this time next year and just thought i'd throw a couple of questions out there to try and satisfy my curiosity.
I am planning on getting a visitors work permit and looking for work as a structural/civil draftsman/cad technician. Does anyone know if there are many opportunities in this field at the moment? Any links to job seekers websites would be greatly appreciated.
I am really into snowboarding, mountain biking (xc and bit of dh) and rock climbing (indoor and out). I hear that B.C. is one of the best places in North America/Canada for these. Any tips on best ski resorts and climbing areas/indoor climbing gyms also greatly appreciated. When does the ski season kick off? Do many people climb outdoors through the winter? What does a 2nd hand quality full snowboard rig set you back?
Cheers for any advice or comments on the above.

13000 jobs created last month in bc mostly pot trimming mixing meth washing dishes cleaning pig pens taxi drivers building flood dikes lol etc
whistler blackcomb opens up soon ... but you better have visa or mastercard and like closet living
we have indoor climbing year round here & ice (falls) climbing in the winter
you can buy a used snowboard set up for cheap @ sports junkies or go new at the boardroom
